Job Summary:
The Sr Manager Commodity Planning & Development is a critical role within Raytheon's Operations & Supply Chain organization, based in Riyadh, KSA. This position is essential for advancing product and non-product commodity development, ideating & executing regional program and commodity opportunities across the MENA supply base. The Manager will work with Raytheon program management and global industrialization identify & convert prospective opportunities into actionable one RTX work packages for supplier bidding and sourcing. The role will also develop and maintain aggregate demand profiles spanning 10 years, effectively articulating growth prospects that can be marketed across the Saudi, Emeriti, and Qatari industrial base. The role will focus on critical commodities including raw materials, castings & forgings, additive manufacturing, machining, composites, fabrications, engineered items, supporting major end items (MEIs) and capacity constrained commodities.
Key Responsibilities:
Commodity Opportunity Conversion: Lead the development of regional commodity packages & embedded spend categorization, converting prospective opportunities into actionable one RTX work packages for regional bidding and sourcing.
Demand Profiling: Develop aggregate demand profiles spanning 5-10 years, effectively articulating growth prospects for critical commodities.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through extensive travel across the MENA region, positively representing Raytheon's interests.
Strategic Execution: Support the execution of regional program and commodity opportunities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with regional stakeholders, global industrialization, and domestic supplier development functions as a force multiplier for the execution of regional offset and localization strategies.
Cost Reduction Initiatives: Ensure regional activities support cost reduction initiatives, adopting of CORE methods and tools that will enable operational excellence.
Commodity Focus: Manage regional activity for critical commodities including raw materials (Titanium, Aluminum, and Steel), castings & forgings, additive manufacturing, machining, composites, engineered items, and major end items (MEIs).
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commodity management, supplier development, or supply chain management, with a focus on the MENA region.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in demand profiling and market analysis.
Leadership: Proven results-oriented leadership skills across indirect reporting relationships.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Travel: Willingness to travel across the MENA region with limited notice.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
