Job Purpose:
- Maintain optimal stock levels of Finished Goods (FG) and materials to meet required service levels.
- Achieve supply chain objectives with zero shortages, ensuring timely fulfilment of demand.
- Support the team in ensuring availability of all local and imported raw and packaging materials, as well as imported FG, for short- and long-term plans.
- Assist in maintaining the efficient operation of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
Main Responsibilities:
Finished good Planning:
- Collaborate with demand planners to accurately forecast demand.
- Place orders for imported FG based on sales demand and stock availability.
- Coordinate with worldwide factories supply team to ensure freshness and readiness of FG orders and shipments.
- Work with the import team to arrange timely shipments.
- Identify and propose actions to mitigate gaps in supply or demand plans.
- Monitor stock levels to align with targets and minimize shortages.
- Proactively maximize product availability and minimize Out of Stock (OOS) instances.
Materials Planning:
- Generate material requirements for production plans using MRP Planned Orders/Purchase Requisitions & Purchase Orders.
- Update MRP master data frequently and obtain necessary information on Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), Lead Time (LT), and Safety Stocks.
- Monitor materials stock levels and ensure availability for production plans.
- Establish and maintain appropriate safety stock levels.
- Highlight material constraints impacting production plans and how to mitigate them.
- Monitor near expiry or expired materials and manage replenishment or depletion efficiently.
- Manage phase-in and phase-out materials with minimal obsolescence.
- Coordinate with production planners and purchasers to ensure timely arrival of materials.
- Proactively ensure maximum product availability and minimize OOS instances.
