About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Data Analyst to join our team, with a specific focus on competitive pricing analysis. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets from internal and external sources to identify pricing trends, monitor market movements, and support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional team to deliver insights that enhance our competitive positioning and drive business growth. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient in SQL but also possesses strong business acumen and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable way.

Responsibilities


  • Analyze competitive pricing data from various internal and external sources
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing changes, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Work closely with pricing, product, and category teams to support pricing strategy and decision-making with data-driven insights.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Use SQL to query large datasets, validate data quality, and perform exploratory analysis.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve data quality, analytical processes, and efficiency of data collection.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for automated extraction, cleaning, and updating of pricing and product data

Expected Qualifications


  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within the e-commerce or retail sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets, uncover trends, and translate data into actionable insights.
  • A critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity to explore data and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Strong business sense and the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for querying and manipulating data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Prior involvement in pricing analysis, market intelligence, or competitive benchmarking projects is a plus.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis, automation, or building pipelines is also a plus
