Job Description Job Summary The QC Inspector (EIT) supports quality assurance activities by inspecting materials, components, and processes to ensure they meet engineering specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Quality Control Inspectors ensure product quality through inspections, measurements, and documentation, identifying defects and recommending corrective actions. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Testing - Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using measurement tools and test procedures.
- Perform durability, functionality, and safety tests.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications. Quality Documentation - Record test results, inspection data, and non-conformances.
- Maintain quality reports, defect logs, and data entries. Process & Standards Compliance - Ensure production processes comply with organizational standards and customer requirements.
- Support adherence to regulatory or industry frameworks such as ISO and ASME codes.
- Monitor production stages to maintain consistent quality. Problem Identification & Corrective Action - Identify defects, deviations, or quality risks and report findings.
- Contribute to root-cause analysis and recommend corrective measures. Collaboration & Training - Work with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support training of production staff on quality standards and inspection expectations. Required Qualifications - Engineering degree in a relevant field.
- EIT certification or progress toward completion.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Basic knowledge of quality principles, inspection methodologies, and measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills & Experience - Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME code, or industry-specific quality standards.
- Experience with NDE/NDT methods.
- Proficiency with precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to analyse quality data and support improvement initiatives.
