Job description

We’re looking for an experienced and technically strong Lead Engineer to join Clario’s R&D Software Engineering team. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and support of enterprise-level software solutions for our ERT products, while helping define architecture, development standards, and best practices across teams.


As a technical leader, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and senior leadership to guide technical decisions, ensure scalability and performance, and mentor team members within an Agile environment.


What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the design, development, testing, and support of complex, enterprise-level software applications.


  • Contribute to defining software architecture, development patterns, and technical standards across teams.


  • Serve as a technical leader within Agile development teams, owning large or complex components of software projects.


  • Clarify technical dependencies, assess the impact of decisions, and communicate changes beyond the immediate team.


  • Collaborate with Product Management and senior leadership to advise on software solutions, tools, and industry trends.


  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing.


  • Work closely with Software Quality Engineering to promote test automation and integration throughout the development lifecycle.


  • Plan and execute software project phases, including design specifications, system architecture analysis, and performance requirements.


  • Mentor and technically guide junior engineers, supporting their growth and development.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across platforms.


  • Support cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.


What We Look For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.


  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with enterprise-scale applications.


  • Strong understanding of software engineering frameworks, methodologies, and common design patterns.


  • Experience working with source code management tools and work item tracking systems.


  • Solid knowledge of risk management techniques and quality assurance practices.


  • Hands-on experience with unit testing and supporting design patterns.


  • Familiarity with Agile development processes.


  • Experience with DevOps practices and cloud-based software solutions is a plus.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.


  • Ability to lead technically, influence decisions, and collaborate across teams.
