UABOS Turkey LN: Material Control Clerk

Program Summary


KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.


Job Summary


Administers production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving of materials. Checks parts and materials for damage and verifies quantity, part number, and serial number of shipped items. Records and prepares status reports of requested and received items. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Research and request supplies and materials required for bench stock, DSWs and Work Tasks.
  • Process hazardous material transactions (HAZMAT) in required AF systems to record usage.
  • Process transactions identified to be turned-in to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) utilizing the Electronic Turn-in Document (ETID).
  • Issues material to shop personnel for work tasks from Bench stock and Residue areas.
  • Loads and unloads vehicles utilizing the forklift.
  • Performs stocking and restocking of materials in Bench stock using the First-in-First Out (FIFO) method.
  • Performs annual inventories and validations as required.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping standards and ensures all safety requirements are maintained.
  • Perform any additional duties required to ensure security, safety and housekeeping.
  • Work may require lifting to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and sitting.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications


  • Minimum 1 year experience with supply, warehousing, researching, and/or procurement.
  • Familiar with safety and handling/storing/disposition of HAZMAT
  • Must be able to read/comprehend manuals, publications, and other applicable supply related guidance, as well as, know how to research parts, coordinate with buyers and vendors.
  • Must be able to complete all necessary trainings to access US Air Force Systems and KBR Supply Chain systems.
  • Must have a strong understanding and use of MS Office Suite.
  • High School Graduate
  • Capable to speak, read, write, and understand English Language “Minimum Level II”
  • Turkish Citizen
  • Have a current driver’s license (minimum “B” Class, “G” is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience of 5 years in Material Control or Warehousing
  • Knowledge of AF Supply procedures in Civil Engineering.

All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.


All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.


All male candidates must have completed their military service.
