To supervise Electrical crews involved in Operational Maintenance, Dry dock major maintenance and installation of electrical equipment onboard fleet units.
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical systems on board Marine units and associated equipment.
To support in executing efficient repair and maintenance services to maintain NMDC Group equipment in a state of optimal availability for production and minimal downtime.
Plan, supervise & monitor maintenance programs to ensure that equipment required for mobilization plans are in a reliable operating condition.
Review technical specifications/requests prepared for purchase of new equipment, consumables, spare parts, etc. needed to meet operation requirements and maintain dredger reliable operation.
Compliance in accordance with Company policies & procedures, Integrity & Code of Conduct and HSE standards.
Ensure electrical systems comply with all relevant maritime safety regulations and classification society standards.
Conduct inspections, prepare maintenance schedules, and oversee electrical preventive maintenance programs. contributing to reliable dredger operation and minimal downtime
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults onboard dredgers and associated equipment.
Prepare and maintain electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals required for maintenance tasks onboard.
Efficiently cooperate and discuss operational aspects and challenges with Shift Engineer and Chief Engineer exploring improvement options for equipment onboard.
Leading the team in diagnosing and solving electrical issues or system failures and guiding them through complex challenges to find effective approach and solutions.
Regularly reviewing the progress of tasks, ensuring the quality of work meets marine standards, and providing constructive feedback to team members to enhance performance.
Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and propose proactive and preventive measures.
Identify hazards in the electrical division onboard, actively monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, and implement appropriate control measures to ensure safety and regulatory compliance in the engine room and auxiliary equipment rooms.
Ensure the execution of basic and instant electrical retrofit & upgrade on board. Aiming for optimal ,reliable operation and minimal downtime for fleet units.
Report on daily basis to Technical Electrical Superintendent for specific electrical-related activities onboard.
Adhere to the defined policies and procedures of the Fleet Management Department and NMDC Group policy.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent ETO Certificate.
STCW Certification
Minimum 10 years of related work experience in marine or heavy industrial fields.
