JOB PURPOSE
Lead digital transformation initiatives, aligning them with strategic goals, and drive innovation. Optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency to maintain leading digital practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic approach to digital transformation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Digital strategy development and implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for digital strategy development.
- Support the strategic planning and annual technology planning process by providing data analysis and insights to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Assist in the formulation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital initiatives.
- Support the dissemination of the digital strategy across the organization through communication and training efforts.
Budget planning and financial management
- Participate in the preparation of detailed budget plans for digital projects.
- Assist in cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial feasibility of technology investments.
- Support where necessary with identification of opportunities for cost-efficiency improvements to realize cost savings while maintaining service support quality and performance.
Project management, performance monitoring, and demand governance
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand their technology needs and requirements.
- Maintain a repository of technology demands, requests, and priorities.
- Contribute to the evaluation and prioritization of technology initiatives based on business impact and feasibility.
- Assist in project schedule tracking and milestone monitoring.
- Support project teams in adherence to project standards and methodologies.
- Monitor, analyse and provide suggestions to improve Digital Teams overall performance.
- Collaborate with project teams to support the creation and monitoring of project schedules, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
- Assist in the development of project standards and methodologies.
Strategic digital partnerships
- Provide technical expertise for evaluating vendor proposals, RFIs, and RFPs, and contracts.
- Assist in vendor management, including contract compliance and performance assessment.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to negotiate favourable terms in technology contracts, RFIs, and RFPs.
Operational efficiency
- Participate in the development of operational plans and strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in conducting process reviews and identifying opportunities for streamlining operations.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and best practices.
Business continuity planning
- Where business continuity planning is within the remit of Digital Planning and Performance Excellence, contribute to the creation of business continuity plans and associated documentation.
- Assist in conducting drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of business continuity strategies.
- Collaborate with disaster recovery teams to ensure resilience of digital systems.
Innovation hubs/platforms development
- Participate in innovative idea generation sessions and contribute to the evaluation of innovative ideas.
- Support the allocation of resources, including budget and manpower, for innovation initiatives.
- Assist in the development of innovation metrics to measure the impact of innovation efforts.
Innovation leadership
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovative trends relevant to the industry.
- Contribute to the development of innovation roadmaps and strategies.
- Promote a culture of innovation within the organization by encouraging idea-sharing and creative thinking.
Strategic communication and relationship management
- Assist in the development of stakeholder engagement strategies and communication plans.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with customer experience teams to enhance stakeholder satisfaction and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 5 years of experience in data processing, budgeting, and planning.
- General understanding of best practices in digital Infrastructure, networking, operations, information security, application lifecycle management, project management, and change management.
- Strong knowledge of digital & quality standards (such as ISO 20000, ISO 9001) and best practices that relate to Digital governance, Change Management such as ITIL, CoBiT. etc.
- Project Management certification, such as PMP/Prince2, a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial planning and reporting concepts
