Job Title - Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Architect with a strong background in interior fit-out and construction. The right candidate will lead design efforts from concept through execution, ensuring design intent is translated into high-quality buildable solutions, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop architectural design concepts and detailed interior layouts, ensuring aesthetics, functionality, and buildability.

Prepare and review architectural drawings, shop drawings, elevations, sections, and details to support fit-out scope.

Select materials, finishes, fittings, and furniture (FF&E) in collaboration with the design and procurement teams.

Lead coordination with MEP, structural, and other consultants to integrate architecture with technical systems.

Oversee site execution: conduct regular site visits, check subcontractor work, ensure design quality, and resolve on-site issues.

Ensure that architectural work aligns with regulatory requirements, building codes, and health & safety standards.

Work with project managers to develop project schedules, define milestones and monitor progress against design objectives.

Prepare design presentations, renderings, and client-facing materials to communicate vision and obtain approvals.

Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and mock-ups to maintain design integrity.

Support the handover process: prepare as-built drawings, participate in snagging, and ensure design compliance post-completion.

Mentor junior designers or interns, review their work, and provide guidance on design and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related field.

Minimum 5 years experience in architecture, with significant exposure to interior fit-out projects in construction or real-estate development.

Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit (or similar), SketchUp, and rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).

Strong understanding of interior construction methods, detailing, finishes, and joinery.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to articulate design ideas to clients, consultants, and site teams.

Experience coordinating with MEP, structural and other disciplines to align design and construction.

Familiarity with UAE building regulations, permits, and authority processes is a plus.

Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.

Valid UAE driving licence is a plus (for site coordination).
