Assistant Manager - Project Commercial - DDW

Day to Day Operations:

• Close interaction with project management and production team 
• Provide guidance and support to the team to work and deliver in the structured and controlled manner
• Managing the cost/budget overrun issues on the project and guiding the team accordingly
• Taking a detailed handover of the estimation file, reviewing the same and highlighting any high-level concerns at the early stage itself. 
• Discussion on the cost overrun with the respective stakeholders 
• Through understanding of the contracts and pricing levels
• Understanding of the required Project milestones and processing the invoices accordingly
• Managing all the communications on the project with the clients
• Change order management and discussion/conclusion with the clients
• Setting the internal targets for the submission and approvals for all claims including remeasure
• Monitoring of subcon/Material costs and ensuring the same to be in line with the allocated project budget 
• Planning and allocation of work to the team to effectively and efficiently manage the project and its deliverables
• Review the project budget and ensure the same is updated and discussed with the client on a regular basis.
• Prepare all necessary reports for the Senior Management
• To handle warranty claims from clients

Minimum Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree in Marine, Mechanical or Naval Architecture.
• Contract and Cost Negotiation.
• 10 to 15 years’ experience in Shipyard with minimum 3 years in similar position.
• Knowledge and experience in a FPSO/FSO Conversion and New Building Offshore Projects.
• Project Management and Contract negotiation skills
• Familiar with technical terms related to Marine/Offshore.
• Experience in a similar position in a reputable shipyard.
