About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager reports to the Food & Beverage Outlet Manager and will assist in overseeing all facets of the Crust Restaurant and In Room Dining operations, ensuring consistent and thoughtful service.
What you will do
1. Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees in the outlet/s to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
2. Control labour and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
3. Be visible in the operations, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons.
4. Work closely with the Hotel Manager, Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
5. Communicate with employees and manager to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
6. Plan schedules & ensure high employee performance. Complete performance evaluations for managerial and line staff within the team. Lead and motivate the teams under he/her responsibility always promoting the ‘golden rule’.
7. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Food & Beverage Outlet Manager and Hotel Manager.
What you bring
• A minimum of at least 2 to 3 years of experience in the similar role in a luxury brand
• An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task
• High level of understanding and knowledge of food and/or wine
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
