The Assistant Welder will support fabrication and welding activities by performing welding operations under supervision, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role requires hands-on experience in TIG and Arc welding processes on carbon steel and stainless steel materials, particularly in industrial and project-based environments.
Assist in carrying out welding activities using TIG and Arc welding processes as per job requirements.
Perform welding in 3G, 4G, and 5G positions under guidance and supervision.
Support fabrication, fit-up, and tack welding activities for CS and SS materials.
Read and understand basic welding drawings, symbols, and work instructions.
Ensure proper cleaning, preparation, and alignment of materials before welding.
Maintain weld quality by following approved procedures and specifications.
Assist senior welders and supervisors to meet daily production and project targets.
Follow safety rules, PPE usage, and company welding safety standards at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and discipline at the workplace.
Proper handling and maintenance of welding tools and equipment.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as an Assistant Welder or similar role.
Educational Qualification: 10th / +2 / ITI (Welding or relevant trade preferred).
Hands-on experience in TIG and Arc welding processes.
Exposure to welding Carbon Steel (CS) and Stainless Steel (SS) materials.
Experience or working knowledge in 3G / 4G / 5G welding positions.
Basic welding and fabrication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Understanding of welding safety practices and quality requirements.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Physically fit and capable of working in industrial environments.
Team player with a disciplined work attitude.
