About the Job:


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lobby Lounge in Jumeirah Living Marina Gate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


Responsible for providing friendly, professional, and efficient service ensuring maximum guest satisfaction. Serve beverages, such as coffee, tea or smoothies/juices, and foods, such as sandwiches, muffins, pastries or cookies etc.


  • Take orders and serve food and beverages as requested by guests, ensuring accuracy and prompt service. This includes items such as coffee, tea, smoothies, juices, sandwiches, muffins, pastries, and cookies.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the menu, including food and beverages, and provide recommendations and advice to guests and colleagues as necessary.
  • Ensure that guests receive the correct order and that all food and beverages are prepared and served according to standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of the bar menu and perfect recipes for signature drinks.
  • Collect money for orders served, process financial transactions following standard cashiering procedures, and ensure all bills are checked for accuracy before presentation to the guest.
  • Perform daily calibrations of equipment such as coffee machines and grinders before each shift to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure that all necessary items such as condiments, tray cloths, and napkins are ready for service as per the requirements of the outlet and anticipated business levels before opening.
  • Maintain, rotate, and replenish stock on a FIFO (first in, first out) basis, store items according to food hygiene standards, check expiration dates, and report stock losses or unavailable items to the Outlet Manager/Assistant Manager.
  • Recognize and promptly resolve customer dissatisfaction, following feedback and complaint procedures, and communicate any issues that could impact business to the immediate reporting manager.
  • Follow departmental policies, HSE processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to deliver excellent service. Ensure personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards are maintained, and strive to improve procedures continually.

About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


Essential 


  • Higher Secondary School certificate or Country specific certification 
  • Basic Food and Hygiene Training
