Job Description
Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a luxurious super-yachts manufacturer in the UAE. Our client is seeking to hire a Buyer who will also take on the role of Data Controller. This position combines procurement responsibilities with the management of the company's Planned Maintenance Management System (PMMS), supporting offshore marine shipping operations. The role ensures efficient procurement processes while maintaining accurate data for operational and HSEQ requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Purchasing and Procurement
- Handle requests for quotes, review quotes, negotiate terms, and create purchase orders.
- Research suppliers and market trends to improve sourcing.
- Follow company procedures and policies for purchasing.
- Coordinate deliveries to ensure materials are supplied on time.
- Keep track of inventory and equipment.
- Monitor vendor performance and manage supplier relationships.
- Prepare reports and analyze purchasing data for cost-saving opportunities.
2.Marine Technical Data Management
- Manage the company’s Planned Maintenance Management System (PMMS), focusing on purchasing and HSEQ sections.
- Update and maintain accurate data in the PMMS.
- Ensure data integrity by acting as the main point of contact for PMMS data.
- Work with teams to ensure PMMS data meets operational needs and HSEQ standards.
Requirements- Diploma in purchasing, marine, shipping, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the shipping or marine industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in vendor management, procurement practices, and inventory control.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
