About the job CIVIL/ARCHITECTURAL INSPECTOR

Job Responsibilities:


  • Inspect civil and architectural works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Monitor construction activities for residential projects, including finishes, structural interfaces, and architectural details.
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with local authority regulations, project standards, and approved materials.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve site issues and technical queries.
  • Review and verify material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings related to civil and architectural works.
  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc site inspections, preparing inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required.
  • Witness tests and inspections, ensuring quality control and adherence to approved inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Monitor progress of works and report delays, quality issues, or deviations to the Resident Engineer / Project Manager.
  • Verify as-built drawings and support project close-out and handover documentation.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements are followed on site.

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 years of UAE experience.
  • Proven experience working with design consultancy / engineering consultancy firms.
  • Strong background in residential building projects (villas, apartments, mixed-use residential developments)
  • Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, finishes, and local building practices.
  • Familiar with UAE local authority regulations and standards (e.g., Dubai Municipality).
  • Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Strong reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in site documentation and inspection procedures.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
