Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a strong background in residential building project-based work to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with proven experience handling complex residential construction projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Design:
Develop, review, and approve engineering plans, specifications, and drawings for residential buildings and related civil works, including roads, drainage systems, and structural elements.
- Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee project activities, ensuring timely completion within approved budgets. Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Site Analysis & Assessment:
Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, soil investigations, and environmental assessments as required.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all engineering works comply with applicable codes, regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements. Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
- Problem Solving:
Identify technical issues during design and construction phases and provide effective engineering solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, technical submissions, variations, and final project reports.
Reporting Mechanism
- Direct Reporting:
Report directly to the Project Manager / Engineering Lead on project progress, challenges, and deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
Provide regular updates to other departments including Planning, Procurement, Contracts, and Site Operations as required.
- Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate project milestones, risks, and resolutions to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Performance Reviews:
Participate in periodic performance review meetings and submit constructive inputs and technical insights.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience:
Minimum of 10 - 15 years experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on residential building projects. Experience managing large-scale or multiple projects is an advantage.
- Technical Skills:
Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and project management tools.
- Knowledge:
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and local regulatory requirements.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Capable of managing multiple projects and working effectively in a team environment.
- Language Requirement:
Bilingual – Arabic & English (mandatory).
- Certifications:
Additional certifications such as PMP or LEED will be considered an advantage.
