We are seeking a highly skilled Cobbler specialized in advanced shoe and leather repairs. The ideal candidate should be proficient in full resoling, sole protection, Sole stitching, gluing, and general leather work. Experience in color restoration and cleaning will be considered an additional advantage.
The Experienced Cobbler will play a key role in maintaining Washmen Shoecare’s premium service quality by ensuring all repair jobs meet the highest craftsmanship and durability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full resoling and sole replacement on various types of footwear, including premium and designer brands.
- Carry out sole protection installations, midsole repairs, and reinforcement work.
- Execute precision stitching, gluing, and heel reconstruction with attention to detail and finish.
- Assess items for repair feasibility and provide accurate time and material estimates.
- Handle general leather repair work, including edge finishing, lining replacement, and hardware attachment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the repair workstation and tools.
- Ensure all repairs adhere to ShoeCare quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to verify the final output before dispatch.
- Maintain awareness of new repair materials, tools, and techniques in the industry.
- (Optional Advantage) Support restoration and cleaning processes when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a cobbler or leather repair technician.
- Strong expertise in resoling, sole protection, stitching, and gluing.
- Experience with leather craft, footwear structure, and repair machinery.
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship quality.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple repair orders and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and proper material handling.
