As a Consultant Surgical Oncologist, you will play a vital role in identifying and treating patients with various types of cancer. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical history and performing examinations
- Order and analyze diagnostic imaging and pathology reports to formulate effective treatment plans
- Perform a variety of surgical interventions with precision, including tumor resections and other oncological procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care
- Oversee post-operative care, managing recovery and addressing complications
- Participate in research and stay abreast of the latest developments in surgical oncology
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, expectations, and postoperative care
