Job description

Overview Of The Role:

  • This role acts as a strategic intermediary between Automotive GTDP and the Analytics & Data Office (ADO), ensuring coordinated and aligned efforts in data and AI initiatives to yield measurable business value. The individual in this position supports the execution of the Automotive data strategy by harmonizing the GTDP data-engineering roadmap with the ADO analytics and reporting plans. Responsibilities include leading subject-matter engagement with stakeholders to define and validate data requirements, ensuring their business relevance and technical feasibility. The role demands visibility and predictability in GTDP's capacity and resource requirements to proactively plan data ingestion and transformational activities. Additionally, it involves ensuring awareness of ongoing data initiatives across teams to prevent duplication and promote solution reuse, while driving continuous improvements in the Intelligent Data Platform (IDP) concerning cost, performance, and scalability.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as the bridge between Automotive GTDP and the Analytics & Data Office (ADO), ensuring coordination and alignment of all Automotive data and AI initiatives to deliver measurable business value.
  • Support the delivery of the Automotive data strategy by aligning the GTDP data-engineering roadmap with the ADO analytics and reporting roadmap, ensuring prioritization and end-to-end traceability of business requirements.
  • Serve as a subject-matter lead to engage with business stakeholders and ADO product owners to define, validate, and refine data and analytics requirements, ensuring business relevance and technical feasibility.
  • Provide visibility and predictability of GTDP capacity and resourcing required to support ADO’s future pipeline, enabling proactive data ingestion and transformation planning.
  • Ensure mutual awareness between GTDP and ADO to inform both parties about ongoing and upcoming data initiatives, preventing duplication and maximizing reuse of existing solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement of the Intelligent Data Platform (IDP), focusing on cost optimization, performance, and scalability in collaboration with ADO, architecture, and infrastructure teams.
  • Translate analytical objectives into clear, actionable data requirements and data models, ensuring 100% of analytics requirements are documented and approved.
  • Maintain a consolidated view of Automotive data and AI initiatives, ensuring alignment between ADO’s analytics roadmap and GTDP’s data-engineering plans.
  • Facilitate structured collaboration between ADO, GTDP, and business stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication on priorities, dependencies, and delivery progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimizations within the Intelligent Data Platform, focusing on performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
