Job Summary: The Database Officer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s SQL databases.
This role requires a highly skilled professional who can ensure database security, performance, and integrity while supporting business needs.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8–12 years of experience in SQL database administration and development.
Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (or equivalent SQL platforms).
Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases to meet organizational requirements.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure data security, privacy, and integrity through proper access controls and encryption.
Collaborate with IT teams to optimize database queries and improve system efficiency.
Create and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries and procedures.
