Overview of the role:
Demand planner is responsible for improving the forecast accuracy at the national as well as branch level so that right stock is procured on time and made available to customers. This is achieved by utilizing the tools specially Syncron to monitor the demand transactions and taking timely actions to avoid the risk of run out. There is a need of continuous stakeholder alignment to understand the business and market needs to keep the stock healthy.
What you will do:
The Demand planner is responsible to review and process Back-to-Back orders with supplier. Ensuring orders are sent to the supplier and confirmation on receipt of orders. and that orders are dispatched within the agreed lead time Monitor and follow up on the back orders Risk assessment and mitigation of bulk ordered quantities. Review pending orders overdue for delivery and communicate with vendor to ask about the delays in supply. Ensure on time delivery of Available stock to the Customers Provide ETD/ETA information to Customers on Back Orders. Review Technical and Campaign Parts and Order Proposal Recall and Redistribution Order Processing and Follow up Monitor Auto Replenishment orders Review and Ensure availability of Stocked Parts at Branches Follow up on Service Level with respective Branch Representative Collect market information from business, analyse and incorporates it into statistical forecasting models to generate final forecast. Measures variances between forecast and actual demand, analyzes cause and effect, recommends corrective action to Ordering and Inventory Team Analyse Sales trend for Key Customers and Branches Monitoring Stock Levels and reordering frequency of Key Customers and Branches. Review of Syncron Alerts for Branches, e.g.: last demand flier, lead time, demand change alerts, forecast alerts Gather inquiry information and analyse to identify part numbers that potentially could increase company revenue Collect Lost Sales information from Sales team and take necessary action to improve the availability. Review of Stocked and Non-Stocked Items and analysis of root cause and counter measures and co ordinate to Ordering team for further actions. Proactively working with Sales team to avoid Last Sales or Local Purchase Maintain and Update Parts Master Data as per guideline KPI Dashboard
Required Skills to be successful:
Demonstrated experience developing management reporting packs and presenting to senior leadership. Skilled in problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies Understanding of agile way of working Extensive knowledge of inventory management systems & Supply chain modules in other ERP systems like SAP
About the Team:
Demand planner will be reporting to the Operations Manager and is part of inventory control team in Global Aftersales at Al Futtaim Automotive. The team is responsible for balancing the inventory cost with service level as per business recommendation.
What equips you for the role:
Bachelors/ master’s in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent Around5 years of experience in the field of Supply Chain, preferably with Automotive experience. Extensive knowledge of Inventory management systems. Business development and process improvement skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/MS Projects)
