About the job Demonstration Chef

Company Overview:


A leading producer and distributor of premium ingredients for the Foodservice channel, focused on innovation and supporting chefs, cooks, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, and ice cream makers globally in their culinary endeavors.


Mission of the Demonstration Chef:
To introduce the company's ingredients to gastronomy professionals worldwide, fostering the use and understanding of these ingredients through demonstrations, techniques, and dishes. The role aims to promote and democratize the use of the company's products.


Main Functions:


  • Execute daily gastronomic, pastry, culinary, ice cream, and bakery demonstrations using the companys products.
  • Conduct gastronomic presentations and demonstrations.
  • Create engaging content for demonstrations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries effectively.
  • Manage content for distributors worldwide.
  • Develop recipe books and technical support materials for distributors, social media, and marketing.
  • Prepare for and attend company fairs and events.
  • Build relationships with national and international culinary opinion leaders and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Enter new recipes and agreed-upon dossiers into the system.
  • Provide weekly and monthly market reports.

Requirements:


  • Higher education in cooking and pastry.
  • Several years of experience with technological ingredients, including knowledge of their reactions and applications.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry and/or Food Service channel suppliers, including pastry, ice cream, and restaurant sectors.

Language Proficiency:


  • English: Advanced
  • French: Advanced

Skills:


  • Strong public speaking abilities to convey information effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of the companys products.
  • Expertise in technological ingredients, culinary techniques, and gastronomy.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of cooking and pastry.
  • Ability to diagnose, solve, and document common issues related to culinary preparations.
  • Self-discipline in managing time and resources responsibly.
  • Empathy towards customers; ability to consider responses before answering.
  • Basic computer skills (Office, Outlook, Google Drive).
