Job Title: Works Manager - Dredging


Responsibilities:


  • Organize and supervise dredging works, ensuring adherence to planning, budgeting, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Schedule deployment of personnel, dredging vessels, auxiliary equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements for dredging works.
  • Report defects to vessels or equipment to the Technical Department and Project Manager.
  • Daily reporting and consultation with the Project Manager and Head Office on operational activities.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure tasks are performed by qualified personnel.
  • Ensure the health and safety of employees and subcontractors, and compliance with environmental regulations.

HSE Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate commitment to HSE performance improvement.
  • Set an example in HSE matters and ensure an effective Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
  • Communicate risks and impacts to supervisors and workers, ensuring safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and investigate accidents and hazardous situations.
  • Conduct HSE inspections and organize toolbox meetings.

Qualifications:


  • Master's or Civil Engineer in Construction, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering (online degrees not valid).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in dredging projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with project budget control and contractual understanding.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Oracle platform understanding is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Valid driving license and physical fitness certification from AD Health Service Co. SEHA required for offshore projects.
