The driver is responsible for transporting staff to and from the hospital and to assure their safety while passengers in the vehicle. The driver is responsible for ensuring the safety of all passengers while operating the assigned vehicle and for ensuring the assigned vehicle is always in a safe operating condition, and drive ambulance in transporting sick, injured, or convalescent persons as well as maintaining its daily checklist for maintenance.
Drives the assigned vehicle safely in accordance with time schedules, transporting staff to and from their accommodations.
Maintains order and proper discipline of passengers; documents and reports severe disciplinary cases.
Conducts established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily.
Assures maintenance of vehicle in safe and clean operating condition; reporting needed mechanical repairs, services the bus with gas and oil, follows established security procedures.
Transports and delivers messages and memos between the hospital and other concerned offices as directed.
Maintains a variety of records and reports including but not limited to mileage, routing, maintenance, and time schedules.
Attends meetings, programs, and in-service training as assigned.
Maintains current required licenses and certificates.
Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in scheduled route.
Assists with other routes when breakdown or other unusual circumstances occur as assigned.
High School Graduate or its equivalent.
Possession of a current, valid, and appropriate Dubai Driver License.
Knowledge of Topography and road conditions in the UAE and related areas.
At least five (5) years of experience in driving.
Good command of English. Arabic is desirable but not essential.
Thorough knowledge of UAE policies and regulations regarding driving.
