Engineering & Maintenance Manager

We are looking to hire a Engineering & Maintenance for a leading manufacturing company.



•To lead the on-floor engineering team and ensure the equipment are operational all the time.

•Responsible for emergency and preventive maintenance.

•To ensure the efficient management of workshop activities.

•Monitoring and maintenance of stock inventory levels of spare parts, consumable, lubricants, tools & equipment.

•Preparation of annual maintenance budget

•To work with other professionals in order to improve the production facilities, reduce the number of breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production process.

•Assure that the job / project will be delivered within timeline and as per agreed specs and within the allocated budget.

•Contact different contractors (civil – mechanical – electrical) and coordinate / negotiate with them to get maximum possible advantages for doing a job / project with lowest prices.

•Prepare Capital Expenditure Proposal (Capex) after the specs and cost of the job are agreed and get them approved from top management.

•Plan and schedule preventive maintenance in the plant, machineries and premises. Also responsible for the good functionality of all devises and replacements.

•Ensure effective financial management for the department by adhering to the maintenance budgets.

•Implementing good manufacturing practice.

•Managing assets and improving plant performance.

•Ensure adequate training program for all technicians to carry out the projects and maintenance activities efficiently, effectively and safely.

•Training of key operatives for correct/ optimum operation and utilization of all key equipment.

•Plan and schedule different activities for new projects and maintenance with proper timelines.

•Give detailed report / update on the ongoing projects / jobs during the projects follow up weekly meeting.

•Prepare cost sheets for different projects showing the actual approved budget / amount spent so far / over spent – savings.

•Validate stock level of spare parts and ensure critical parts are available in spare parts store.

•Manage departmental purchases, handle quotations and prepare capital expenditure.
