Qualifications


  • Preferably experienced in Ship repair and building
  • Good knowledge in reading drawings, hands on experience in fabrication (Structural/ piping)
  • Knowledge in welding required

Responsibilities


  • The Foreman is required to have a good understanding of the Companys Quality Policy. He shall know the Companys Quality System procedures especially the Work Instructions which are relevant to his activities and assuring that all activities are carried out and recorded according to procedures.
  • The Foremans responsibility is to pursue the departmental/functional quality objectives in the tasks and duties assigned him by his Supervisor/Manager. Further he shall be responsible for his workforce, the working area as well as all tools and equipment provided for his department use.
  • The Foreman is responsible for the quality of services provided by his team
  • Foreman shall understand job priority and allocate them according to the skills available. He shall seek clear job requirements from his superior. So shall he properly communicate these to his team.
  • In cases where the customers order consists of several independent job items requiring multiple disciplines, it is the Foreman duty to divide the work and assign the required men to different job items. There must always be one man in charge of each job item.
