Job Purpose

To be a member of firefighting crew to turn-out with Fire vehicle / Truck in response to fire, hazmat, Search and rescue emergencies and subsequently carry out firefighting, Search & rescue operations under direct supervision of Leading Firefighter in compliance with the established SOPs,.




Principal Accountabilities

Respond to fire, Hazmat, Search and Rescue emergencies at ENOC facilities involving flammables and hazardous materials for the protection of lives and properties.
Promptly applies appropriate procedure in responding to emergency calls.
Exhibit physical strength in the execution of fire fighting task and Rescue trapped people in the emergency situation.
Uses correct PPE against fire, hazmat incident and situational hazards.
Employs proper use, care and maintenance of fire truck and other fire fighting equipment and tools to ensure their availability for immediate use.
Report fire equipment defect to supervisor on duty promptly.
Participate in shift change over and transfer the information to incoming duty shift.
Participate in schedules drills at fire station and tactical exercises based on site specific Pre incidence plan and also to participate in joint emergency exercises.
Participate in live fire fighting in fire training ground including off days.
Attend daily physical fitness exercise in shifts.
Attend lectures in various training sessions. Actively participate in all training activities and shares fire fighting knowledge and skills with newly joined fire fighters.
Conduct Fire & Safety talk with work team as appropriate
To carryout scheduled topography familiarization visits to ENOC facilities and the areas surrounding them.
To effectively and accurately exchange with clear message by using radios.
Available to respond promptly to emergencies or non-emergencies, attend any assigned training on off-duty days, or adapt to shift changes as required by ERC manpower needs, upon notification from the fire operation room during off-duty hours.
Disciplinary action shall be initiated internally if fail to attend training and emergency call.
To follow the instruction, orders of line manager and seniors in  hierarchy.
Complies to ENOC - STP policies and procedures.
To strictly respect and follow ENOC HR Policy.
 




Additional Principal Accountabilities

Experience

Completion of Secondary Education or equivalent.
Must meet the physical fitness standards required to successfully pass physical assessment conduced by ENOC Emergency Response Centre ( EERC).
Successful competition of a six week basic fire fighter course conducted by EERC.
Behavioural skills:
Communication skills, Teamwork, Initiative, Focus on Department plans and objectives.
Technical Skills:
Good knowledge of firefighting equipment and firefighting methods.
Knowledge of various rescue techniques.
