The Freight Forwarding Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating international and domestic shipments, ensuring smooth transportation of goods through air, sea, and land routes. The role involves handling documentation, customer coordination, customs clearance, carrier management, and compliance with international logistics standards to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of cargo.
Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations for import and export shipments (Air, Sea, and Land).
Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs agents, and warehouses.
Prepare and process shipping documents such as Invoice, Packing List, BL, AWB, COO, and Delivery Orders.
Handle customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with Dubai customs regulations.
Track shipments and provide regular status updates to customers.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve shipment-related issues promptly.
Negotiate rates with carriers and provide competitive quotations to clients.
Ensure timely billing, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and client data.
Monitor cargo movement to minimize delays and operational risks.
Support logistics planning and optimize transportation routes and costs.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and international trade standards.
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field.
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics Operations.
Prior experience in handling import/export shipments in the UAE is preferred.
Knowledge of Dubai Trade Portal and customs systems is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding procedures and documentation.
Understanding of customs clearance, HS codes, and trade regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and logistics software.
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders efficiently.
Good negotiation and quotation management skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Experience in handling Air, Sea, and Land freight is mandatory.
Exposure to UAE logistics operations is highly preferred.
