Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the GEMS Core Values of innovation, excellence, lifelong learning, and global citizenship in all aspects of teaching and student interactions.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards, adapting to diverse learning styles and individual student needs, including ESL and gifted students.
  • Maintain accurate records of planning, assessments, and attendance, ensuring policies and codes of conduct are consistently followed.
  • Use media and technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
  • Foster student progress and well-being through academic guidance, behavior management, and promoting cultural awareness.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and contribute to the school’s co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed of student progress, upholding confidentiality where required.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, and extra duties as needed, demonstrating commitment beyond the standard workday.
  • Participate in appraisal and Performance Management procedures and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
