About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Guest Relations Executive (Hostess) to join the Hillhouse Brasserie at Jumeirah Restaurant Group. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Ensure the hostess desk/door is always manned so that all guests receive a friendly & prompt welcome.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for customers according to the Restaurant Reservations SOP.
• Actively use the standards detailed in the F&B Enquiry/ Booking checklist when taking Restaurant enquiries or bookings.
• Greet guests and escort them to tables, match the pace of the table and present the menus after each guest is comfortably seated. Share the guest’s name with the relevant service staff immediately after seating.
• Act as an escort for VIP and regular guests/residents and provide them with personal attention, thus providing an elevated level of service.
• Maintain know-how for VIP and regular guests/residents’ menu choices, food allergies, likes/dislikes, beverage choices, and seating. Preferences, privacy, etc., and keep staff informed, thus delivering exhilarating services.
• Anticipate guest’s needs and expectations correctly, including those with special needs, and provide appropriate products, services, or information, thus delivering a hospitality experience that goes above and beyond, keeping in mind Heart of Jumeirah standards. Inform staff on the next shift about special needs or as necessary. 

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• One year of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
• Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications: Micros and Sevenrooms. 
• Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
