Job Description
  • Supervise and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC electrical and instrumentation systems at oil and gas facilities.
  • Lead a team of electricians, instrument technicians, and HVAC technicians to ensure proper execution of HVAC E&I work as per project specifications and standards.
  • Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, blueprints, and specifications for HVAC systems and provide guidance to the workforce.
  • Ensure the correct installation and configuration of HVAC electrical components, including wiring, controls, sensors, and automation systems.
  • Oversee the installation and testing of control systems (e.g., PLCs, DCS) associated with HVAC operations, ensuring their proper functionality and integration.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues in HVAC systems, identify defects, and recommend necessary repairs or modifications.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., ATEX, IEC) for electrical and instrumentation work in hazardous environments.
  • Plan and schedule work activities, allocate resources, and ensure that the team completes tasks within deadlines.
  • Perform inspections and testing to verify that HVAC E&I systems meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain documentation of work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and job completion records.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of work and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in HVAC electrical and instrumentation, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in HVAC electrical and instrumentation work, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry is required, including familiarity with site-specific regulations and safety protocols.
  • Proven experience leading teams in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in industrial or oil and gas settings.

Additional Information
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC electrical and instrumentation systems, particularly in oil and gas environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and control schematics.
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems, wiring, and instrumentation (e.g., sensors, actuators, relays).
  • Understanding of safety regulations and standards (e.g., ATEX, IECEx) for electrical work in hazardous areas.
  • Knowledge of HVAC control systems such as PLCs, SCADA, or DCS is advantageous.
  • Supervisory skills with the ability to lead and coordinate a team of technicians and workers.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in HVAC E&I systems.
  • Effective communication skills for working with engineers, contractors, and the workforce.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments, including offshore or remote oil and gas sites.
