Job Purpose



Implementation of Advanced Process Control, advanced solution monitoring and control packages.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities



Ability to identify the potential areas and benefits for applying Advanced Process Control for various process Units and specify the hardware/software architecture to carry out APC implementation. Carry out APC & MVC implementations starting from Control Definition, Functional Design Specifications, Plant Testing, Detailed Engineering, Modeling of Controller and Estimator, Site Integration, SAT, Commissioning, Post Audit and PGTR. Multiple project co-ordination and provision of technical and managerial support for the successful completion of large APC & MVC projects for various process units, as well as the ability to lead a team of APC consultants. Provide advisory and maintenance support including carrying out modifications to the Control strategies to ensure higher APC up time and carry out the required APC training to plant operators & engineers.

Qualifications and Experience



Minimum of 12-15 years work experience in the field of Advanced Process Control. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Master’s degree is preferable. Hands on experience for commissioning APC Controllers in Refining, Petrochemical and Polymer process units. APC implementation experience in Yokogawa APC software PACE would be an added advantage.

Required Competencies / Skills



Excellent presentation and communication skills. Good leadership skills Knowledge of working on DCS platforms
