Role Purpose
This role is responsible for providing technical leadership and ensuring the successful implementation of the Reporting & Analytics horizontal stream of the Transformation program The Reporting & Analytics role is pivotal in overseeing the end-to-end delivery of new reports, dashboards and analytics which will be enabled by the implementation of new SAP S/4 HANA and associated solutions. This role will work with Functional and Technical leads to collect requirements, build a strategy, and manage the delivery of both SAP Datasphere and Analytics Cloud solutions, as well as the build of reports and dashboards to deliver on the Group’s requirements. The role will also be responsible for supporting the Group to simplify and optimise its reporting landscape, leveraging out of the box SAP reporting capabilities as much as possible. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the successful remediation of existing reporting in our data lake (Google BigQuery) and feeding of new ERP data to this data lake. This position requires a strong focus on maintaining good practice data modelling, data governance and an ongoing focus on timely and quality delivery and ensuring that all migration activities align with the organization’s data governance and ERP implementation goals This role will align with functional technology streams in the program to ensure that the requirements of each functional area are effectively captured in this streams’ scope, and to ensure that dependencies required of functional streams are well managed into Reporting & Analytics This role requires knowledge of SAP Reporting solutions (Datasphere and Analytics Cloud), strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.

Requirements Gathering & Report Inventory:
Develop a comprehensive inventory of existing reporting capabilities, dashboards and reports, clearly identifying the underlying data sources
Propose opportunities for simplification, harmonisation and elimination of redundant reports
Gather requirements, working with Business and Technical leads, for additional reporting and analysis not available today. Identifying gaps, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
Reporting & Analytics Strategy:
Develop a comprehensive strategy for enterprise reporting and analytics aligned with the goals of the ERP transformation.
Establish the vision and roadmap for leveraging data to drive decision-making using the new Transformation solutions
Define the principles that will drive the decisions on whether to embedded SAP reporting capabilities vs. creating bespoke reports in SAP Analytics Cloud
Ensure the strategy details how consistency, accuracy, and security will be embedded in all reporting and analytics outputs
Enterprise Data Modelling & Data Architecture:
Define the new data model for the Group once Transformation solutions will be implemented, clearly identifying where key data objects will be mastered
Define the methods by which users can access mastered data objects (e.g. SAP CDS views)
Work with Architects to define the data architecture required to support reporting and analytics, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across the Transformation systems
Solution & Report Delivery:
Lead the design and implementation of SAP Datasphere to support reporting and analytics requirements.
Lead the design and implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud to support reporting and analytics requirements
Lead the design, development, and deployment of reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for reporting and analytics solutions, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Identify and resolve issues and discrepancies in reporting and analytics outputs, ensuring that the final solutions meet business requirements and performance standards. Manages vendor relationships to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Data Remediation and Integration:
Develop and implement an approach to remediate and synchronize data between the ERP system and the enterprise data lake in Google BigQuery/ Google Looker
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across all reporting platforms, including verifying that existing reporting has been successfully remediated
Adoption & Optimization:
Monitor the performance of reporting systems and optimize them for efficiency and scalability.
Identify and implement improvements to enhance data visualization, usability, and user experience.
Support the change team on change management efforts to ensure adoption of new reporting systems and processes.
Post-Go-Live Support:
Lead post-go-live data reconciliation and troubleshooting, ensuring any remaining Reporting & Analytics issues are resolved promptly.
Ensure a smooth handover of the Reporting & Analytics process to the support teams, providing necessary documentation and training.
What you’ll need to succeed
Technical skills:
Strong understanding of business processes and how they are supported by ERP systems.
Experience working with ERP and enterprise systems is mandatory, in design, deployment, testing and support
Experience working with SAP reporting and analytics solutions is MANDATORY, ideally with SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
Experience managing large hybrid teams comprised of internal and external resources
Experience managing external vendors to a budget / target and ensuring close scope management
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in technology implementation and management. Proven experience as a technical lead or similar role in large-scale transformation programs
