Job description

We are seeking an experienced Material Inspector to join our team on major infrastructure projects. The role involves ensuring that all materials used in the project meet the specified quality standards through rigorous testing, sampling, and inspection. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, laboratory and in-situ testing procedures, and prior approval from relevant authorities.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Witness all laboratory and in-situ tests conducted by contractors or third-party testers.


  • Prepare and collect material samples for testing as per project requirements.


  • Coordinate with the Work Inspector to confirm work approval for testing and address any related concerns.


  • Perform sampling and testing efficiently to prevent delays in the contractor's operations.


  • Conduct regular inspections of delivered materials to verify compliance with approved sources and suppliers.


  • Participate in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Review, approve, and document testing results and material acceptance.


  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations during all material handling and testing activities.



Requirements
  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering (or equivalent qualification).


  • Minimum 7 years of experience in material inspection on bridges, roads, infrastructure, or irrigation projects.


  • RTA or Dubai Central Laboratory approval is mandatory.


  • Proven expertise in materials QA/QC within the construction industry.


  • Strong knowledge of laboratory and field-testing procedures for construction materials.


  • Ability to conduct efficient and accurate material sampling and testing.


  • Proficient in quality assurance and quality control processes.


  • Good communication and coordination skills for working with contractors, engineers, and inspectors.


  • Thorough understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.


  • Willing to work in Dubai.
