The successful candidate will provide leadership and medical oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality, coordinated care for members with complex, chronic, or urgent medical needs. This role is responsible for reviewing clinical cases, guiding pre-approval decisions, and acting as a liaison between members, healthcare providers, and internal case managers. Ensure that all case management activities align with corporate policies, medical governance standards, and are tailored to individual member needs. This will be based at our dnata Travel Centre, on Sheikh Zayed Road.



In this role, you will:



  • Provide expert medical input in the assessment, planning, and coordination of complex cases, including pre-approvals and claims, ensuring alignment with clinical standards and insurance guidelines.
  • Evaluate and interpret clinical documentation to support accurate case planning and informed decision-making.
  • Approve medical pre-authorisation requests in accordance with departmental terms and medical governance protocols.
  • Work closely with internal teams, members, and external healthcare providers to ensure continuity, appropriateness, and quality of care case management.
  • Build strong relationships with priority members and lead the case management team to deliver a seamless, personalised service experience.
  • Respond to high-priority or urgent cases (including non-network or overseas) with timely clinical advice and support, ensuring swift resolution and member reassurance.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of proactive health communication initiatives for high-risk or priority members.
  • Ensure adherence to case management protocols and provide input into the development of policies, SOPs, and workflows to enhance service delivery.
Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Bachelors degree in medicine (MBBS or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, including managerial responsibilities within medical insurance.
  • At least 3 years of licensed clinical practice is preferred.

  • Experience in case management, utilisation review, occupational health, or care coordination is advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of medical insurance and case management principles
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Advanced communication skills, including the ability to engage with executive leadership and contribute to internal communication strategies.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, referral processes, and insurance guidelines is preferred.
