Job description

The MEP Coordinator is an essential position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) components of construction projects. This role requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with over ten years of experience in the MEP field. The MEP Coordinator will ensure that all systems are designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with industry standards and regulations. The individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall project framework. Responsibilities:

  1. Overall Coordination: Ensure seamless integration and coordination of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Planning & Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
  3. Stakeholder Interface: Act as the primary point of contact between the client, consultants, and contractors to facilitate clear communication and resolve technical or operational issues.
  4. Resource & Risk Management: Optimize resource allocation, identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  5. Approval & Quality Control: Review and approve MEP materials, technical drawings, and subcontractor deliverables to ensure alignment with project specifications and quality requirements.


Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as an MEP Coordinator or in a similar role in the construction industry, with a minimum of ten years in MEP-related positions.
  2. Strong understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and their integration into building designs.
  3. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  4. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with diverse stakeholders and ensure clarity in project execution.
  5. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality or safety.
  7. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and MEP design, enhancing workflow efficiency.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions quickly.
  9. Team-oriented individual who can collaborate effectively with diverse teams and foster a positive work environment.
  10. Relevant certifications in MEP systems or project management will be considered an asset.
