The MEP Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities on construction projects to ensure seamless integration with civil and architectural works. The role focuses on coordination, quality control, compliance with standards, and timely project delivery.
Coordinate all MEP activities with civil, structural, and architectural teams to avoid clashes and delays.
Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Monitor site execution and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
Identify design or execution issues and propose corrective actions proactively.
Track progress of MEP works and report status to project management.
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international standards.
Support testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
Maintain proper documentation, reports, and coordination records.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 3–6 years of experience in MEP coordination within construction projects.
Prior experience in UAE or GCC projects is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit / BIM is an advantage.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of local authority approvals and construction standards in Dubai.
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
