Job Description

We are currently looking for a Merchant Executive for one of our subsidiary companies in the e-commerce domain .


Key Responsibilities:


1. New Merchant Acquisition & Onboarding:


    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential merchants under the direction of the Category Manager.
    • Support new merchants in registering on the platform, including profile and store creation.
    • Provide training and platform orientation for new merchants in collaboration with the Category Manager.
    • Assist with the creation and setup of new merchant stores or micro-sites on the platform

2. Product Assortment Management:


    • Collate assortment files from new merchants and hand them off to the Content team for completion and upload to the platform.
    • Regularly coordinate with merchants to ensure accurate and timely updates for prices and stock levels.
    • Monitor and review merchant price and stock updates to optimize the frequency and accuracy of changes.

3. Category Management & Buying Support:


    • Conduct competitor benchmarking for pricing and assortment to support category strategy.
    • Assist in the selection and onboarding of key products or ranges aligned with platform trends and consumer demand.
    • Collaborate with the Category Manager to plan promotional activities and campaigns for new merchants and product ranges.
    • Analyze sales performance data to identify gaps, opportunities, and actionable insights for category growth.

4. Operational Coordination:


    • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Content, Logistics, and Operations) to resolve merchant-related issues efficiently.
    • Ensure seamless execution of price and stock updates, especially for new ranges or promotions managed manually by Dubai Store.
    • Act as the first point of contact for new merchants, addressing queries and escalating issues where needed.

5. Process Optimization:


    • Identify areas for improvement in merchant onboarding and support processes, providing recommendations for optimization.
    • Maintain and update onboarding and training materials to reflect the latest platform features and best practices.

6. Reporting and Analysis:


    • Generate regular reports on merchant performance, stock accuracy, and pricing effectiveness.
    • Support the Category Manager with data insights and recommendations for enhancing category strategies.
