Job Summary:
As an Operations Manager in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) for an MEP contracting company, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of MEP projects from initiation to completion. You will be expected to ensure efficient operations, timely project delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
Job Responsibility:
1. Oversee the planning and execution of MEP projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress.
3. Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
4. Monitor project progress, update stakeholders regularly, and address any issues or delays promptly.
5. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Analyze project requirements, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams when needed.
8. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and suppliers to meet project objectives and requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in MEP project management, with a focus on operations and execution.
3. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction practices, and industry standards.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
5. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and make sound decisions under pressure.
6. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
7. Certifications in project management or MEP-related fields are a plus.
