In this role, you will provide expert care in diagnosing and managing a variety of eye diseases and conditions. Your skills and expertise will be essential in improving patient outcomes and promoting optimal visual health.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests, including visual acuity tests, tonometry, and imaging studies.
- Diagnose ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
- Perform surgical procedures such as cataract extraction, laser surgery, and other ophthalmic surgeries.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the management of patient care.
- Engage in ongoing education and research to remain current with advancements in ophthalmology.
