We are seeking an experienced Payments Lead to join our client in Dubai to oversee and develop our innovative payment solutions. This role is pivotal in driving the design, scalability, and optimization of cutting-edge payment systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in building scalable infrastructure and fostering partnerships within the financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end development and optimization of payment systems, ensuring innovation, security, and efficiency.
Design and implement payment flows, integrations, and reconciliation processes.
Develop and execute risk management strategies across operations.
Build and manage relationships with payment partners, processors, and regulators.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
Analyze payment data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payment solutions with business objectives.
Mentor and lead a high-performing team of payment professionals.
Requirements:
5-7+ years of experience in building and managing payment systems, ideally within fintech, e-commerce, or related industries.
Proven track record in payment infrastructure development for gateways or BNPL platforms.
Strong knowledge of payment processing, financial technologies, and compliance requirements.
Expertise in card payments, account-to-account (A2A) systems, and open banking frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving and strategic leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related fields; advanced degrees are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with alternative financing models like BNPL.
Strong understanding of fraud prevention and risk management.
Proven experience in launching and scaling payment products.
