About the job PIPELINE ENGINEER - OFFSHORE

We are looking for an experienced Pipeline Engineer to support the engineering phase of offshore oil and gas projects. The role involves executing pipeline design and engineering activities during FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design, working closely with multidisciplinary EPC teams to deliver technically sound and compliant offshore pipeline solutions.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform pipeline engineering activities for offshore oil and gas projects executed in an EPC environment
  • Execute and support FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design for offshore pipeline systems
  • Prepare, review, and check pipeline engineering deliverables, including:
    • Pipeline routing and alignment sheets
    • Wall thickness calculations and material selection
    • On-bottom stability analysis
    • Free span assessment and pipeline integrity checks
    • Engineering calculations, design reports, and technical notes
  • Develop and review pipeline material specifications, datasheets, line lists, and material requisitions
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable international codes, and industry standards (e.g., DNV, API, ASME, ISO)
  • Interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams such as process, structural, geotechnical, installation, and HSE
  • Support design reviews, technical queries, deviations, and Management of Change (MoC) during the engineering phase
  • Provide engineering support during fabrication, offshore installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as required
  • Participate in risk assessments, constructability reviews, and offshore pipeline design reviews
  • Coordinate with vendors and support technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in offshore pipeline engineering within the oil and gas industry
  • Proven experience on offshore pipeline projects within an EPC organization
  • Strong experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, and/or Detailed Design of offshore pipeline systems
  • Solid knowledge of offshore pipeline design principles, materials, installation methods, and integrity considerations
  • Familiarity with international offshore pipeline codes and standards
  • Experience supporting EPC projects through detailed engineering and execution phases
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary EPC environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
