GEMS Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Primary SENCO to join our Inclusion Team in Dubai. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, committed, and highly organised professional who is passionate about supporting students of determination and ensuring that inclusion remains a core strength within our school community.

Reporting to the Head of Inclusion, you will play a pivotal role in driving high-quality, compliant, and impactful provision across the primary phase. We are looking for a proactive team player with strong leadership capability, excellent attention to detail, and a deep commitment to best practice in inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Inclusion in implementing the school’s strategic direction, Inclusion Policy, and ensuring full alignment with KHDA/DSIB requirements.
• Lead and monitor provision for students of determination across Primary, including IEPs/pupil profiles, intervention planning, and alternative pathways.
• Ensure all inclusion documentation — including PPs, IEPs, assessments, reports, and external documentation — is completed accurately, consistently, and within required timelines.
• Conduct quality assurance activities such as learning walks, data analysis, impact reviews, lesson planning support, and inspection preparation.
• Lead, deploy, and develop Inclusion Teachers and Learning Support Assistants, ensuring high-quality coaching, performance monitoring, and professional growth.
• Track and analyse student data to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of provision and interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, LSAs, parents, and external specialists to maintain strong communication and coordinated support.
• Provide guidance on differentiation, strategies for inclusive practice, and classroom-based support.
• Support admissions processes, transition planning, and access arrangements for students of determination.

Requirements

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
• Postgraduate qualification or certification in SEN/Inclusion (required).
• Additional training in inclusive education, intervention methodologies, or educational psychology is an advantage.

Experience
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a SENCO, Inclusion Lead, or equivalent role in a primary school setting.
• Proven experience supporting students of determination with a range of needs.
• Strong understanding of KHDA/DSIB inclusion expectations and the Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework.
• Demonstrated experience in data management, intervention oversight, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Evidenced teamwork, collaboration, and hands-on support in classrooms.
