We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer (Systems) to supervise and coordinate the installation of mechanical and piping systems onboard luxury yachts.
The role covers the full scope of systems such as fuel, fresh/black/grey water, bilge, HVAC, fire-fighting, hydraulics, and ventilation.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with organizational and leadership skills.
While the role is framed as a Production Engineer, it offers the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for the management of the Systems Production team, with a career path toward a future Production Lead / Head of Systems Production.
Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation of systems onboard yachts (piping, HVAC, hydraulics, fuel, water, bilge, fire, etc.
). Interpret and implement technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans from the design office.
Coordinate daily activities of technicians and subcontractors, ensuring quality and deadlines are met.
Ensure compliance with class rules, shipyard standards, and safety requirements during system installation.
Track progress of systems production, prepare reports, and escalate issues when needed.
Cooperate closely with the Design Office (Systems Department) to resolve technical problems.
Validate material availability, coordinate with procurement and warehouse.
Participate in pre-commissioning tests, dock trials, and handover to commissioning teams.
Support continuous improvement of production methods, installation sequences, and workflows.
Mentor and train junior technicians to build a strong production team.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or similar.
5–8 years of experience in marine systems installation (yachts, ships, offshore, or equivalent).
Proven ability to supervise teams of technicians or subcontractors.
Strong knowledge of piping, HVAC, and hydraulic systems in a naval context.
Ability to read, interpret, and implement complex technical drawings and schematics.
Understanding of class regulations and maritime standards.
Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
Preferred Profile Experience with luxury yachts or complex naval vessels.
Strong sense of ownership and leadership, with capacity to grow into a production management role.
Comfortable working under pressure, with changing priorities.
Hands-on mindset with attention to detail and quality.
