The project:
Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial work places and retail units along with public realm.
You’ll be responsible for:
Conducts feasibility studies, develops procurement strategies, and prepares procurement and contract reports.
Leads value management activities and manages estimating and cost planning, including ownership of final cost plans.
Supports contractor procurement and prepares contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses.
Administers contract terms, measures works, values variations, and provides ongoing cost control and reporting.
Prepares financial reports, identifies all project-related costs, and evaluates contractor claims for delays or additional costs.
Manages practical completion, defect resolution, and negotiation of final accounts.
Drives continuous improvement, enhances systems and processes, and provides guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Builds strong stakeholder relationships, manages stakeholders effectively, and contributes to net zero carbon initiatives.
You’ll need to have:
Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent), or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
Commercial and financial acumen.
Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
Experience of managing parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
Experience of developing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
