Job description

We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Robotics Architect to join our innovative Research and Development department. The selected candidate will work closely with our Founder and Principal Architect, and will play a key role in developing and advancing robotic construction technologies. This includes active collaboration with international institutions such as the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and other global research partners.

The role focuses primarily on the research and implementation of 3D printing technologies for architectural applications and the integration of computational design, AI, and robotics within architectural workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate directly with the business owner and R&D team to develop and refine robotics-based workflows for architectural design and construction.
  • Create scalable templates, workflows, and reusable data sets to streamline future project applications.
  • Apply parametric design techniques and integrate AI into the research and early design phases of projects.
  • Develop design prototypes using Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Dynamo, Python, and other relevant platforms.
  • Support early-stage project development including pre-concept and schematic design.
  • Establish clear, efficient workflows and documentation processes for project implementation.
  • Communicate and coordinate with international robotics manufacturers and partners.
  • Research and evaluate emerging robotics technologies and their applications in architecture.
  • Travel as needed to collaborate with global partners and attend relevant events.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree from IAAC or any other global institute with a strong focus on advanced architecture, computational design, digital fabrication, or robotics.
  • Proficiency in parametric and computational design tools (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Dynamo, Python).
  • Strong understanding of AI applications in design processes.
  • Prior experience developing workflows and systemised, methodical processes in a design environment.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
  • Knowledge of or experience with robotics hardware and manufacturers is a significant advantage.
  • UAE experience is not required; international candidates are welcome.

Benefits
  • Up to 22,000 AED
  • Chance to work with a fantastic, forward thinking team who are looking to change the way housing is designed and built.
