We are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on major infrastructure projects. The role involves implementing corporate HSE policies, monitoring contractor safety performance, reviewing safety documentation, and promoting a culture of safety across all project activities.
Implement and monitor corporate HSE policies, plans, and legal requirements, suggesting improvements to enhance overall safety performance.
Ensure client and regulatory safety requirements are met, liaising with the safety manager and contractors for effective HSE management.
Monitor contractor adherence to safety measures on-site, ensuring compliance with legal and client standards.
Review safety-related documents, including Site Safety Plans, Emergency Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Analyses.
Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Organize monthly safety meetings, review incident reports, and track corrective actions to prevent accidents and improve safety practices.
Promote a safety-first culture among project staff and contractors.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety.
Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in the construction of bridges, roads, infrastructure, or irrigation projects, preferably in the UAE.
Prior experience in construction supervision of roads, bridges, underpasses, or major infrastructure projects.
Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, Fire Safety, or ISO certifications preferred.
Working knowledge of Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, Technical Guidelines, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to enforce safety standards and lead safety initiatives on large-scale projects.
Willing to work in Dubai.
