Job Description
Support processes necessary to manage the different major units within the Finance departments of EKRevenue Services, Group Accounts Payable Services, Group Payroll Services, Group FinancialReporting Assurance and Taxation (GFR A&T) and Master Management, , Group Revenue & CustomerServices, and Regional Finance Office.
The focus areas of the major units comprise analyzing the risks and internal controls as applicable forrevenue, credit cards, indirect taxes and master management, supplier and employee disbursements in abusiness unit, identifying solutions, mitigating risk, accuracy, and integrity in financial accounting througha process of GL review/reconciliation complying with Group Policies and Procedures, Revenue/Yieldreporting, Commercial Systems, facilitate tax compliance, service delivery to internal and externalcustomers, reviewing key processes and recommending measures as required to enhance efficiency and drive optimization of unit costs.
Job Accountabilities:
- Perform periodic process reviews/risk assessment techniques, identify system/process-relateddiscrepancies/limitations/revenue leakages, handle qualitative analysis, and compile data for KPIs, andanalytical reports required by Senior Management.
- Maintain reconciliation standards through regular review of reconciliation functions and internal controls.
- Review all reconciliation nominals and follow-up for open items with an aim towards closure of the samewithin the stipulated timeline. Identify high variances in the nominals and investigate causes of the sameand liaise with stakeholders for resolutions and corrective action.
- Explore opportunities and collaborate and coordinate with the Finance teams and relevant stakeholdersfor process improvements, system enhancements, automation and escalate anomalies and providerecommendations to the Senior Management.
- Assist auditors in coordination with the Finance Controller and handle queries with reference to qualitycontrols, quality reports, and procedures.
- Liaise with various stakeholders to resolve discrepancies regarding agreements/ circulars/ reconciliation to ensure relevant information is interpreted and updated accurately for continuity, clarity, and completeness.
- Analyse the data generated using trends/comparative analysis/industry data and escalate meaningfulobservations that are causing yield dilution or revenue leakage etc. to concerned stakeholders forappropriate corrective action.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the team into a cohesive working unit, maximize team accuracy andproductivity so that respective team deliverables are completed in the most cost-effective way and as perthe set KPIs
- Perform User Acceptance Testing for Finance products to ensure system requirements are met.
- Deliver high-quality receivable outputs as per stipulated timelines and provide advisory support to the station as and when required. Produce Station Credit Risk Reviews highlighting all key receivable element with advisory components and ensure AR ledger is maintained as per EK guidelines.
- Carry out constant debt follow-ups to minimize aged debts and potential bad debts and highlight keyissues to all stakeholders. Provide monthly station receivable updates and quarterly provision updates tostation Commercial teams and Head Office senior management.
- Support in the preparation of training materials and conducting assigned sessions. Make sure Financeand Admin Managers are following the guidelines and provide high-quality outputs, if not provide immediate feedback.
