We are seeking an experienced UAE National Lawyer to join a reputable organisation within the UAE. This role requires a professional with a strong legal background to provide expert guidance and manage legal matters effectively.

This opportunity is with a large, reputable organisation operating within the UAE across multiple large scale projects.

Description

Key responsibilities include:
Review and draft contracts and legal documents across the portfolio.Provide advice on interpretation of contractual and statutory provisions.Support on disputes, arbitrations, breach and termination processes with internal and external counsel.Coordinate with procurement, commercial, finance and other business units on project‑related matters.Manage external counsel relationships and oversee delivery of legal services.Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies across contracts and procurement.Develop, review, and maintain template agreements.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.Contribute to internal governance documentation (e.g., data protection, AML, KYC).Act as legal counsel on project transactions and maintain close coordination with business units.


Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:
UAE NationalA degree in Law or a related field from a recognised institution.Proven expertise in the oil and gas or infrastructure utilities or construction industry.Minimum 4+ years of experience, ideally 8+ years experienceStrong knowledge of local and international legal regulations.Exceptional skills in drafting and negotiating contracts.Ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic advice.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Capability to work effectively within a large organisation.
