Senior Network Security Engineer

Help AG is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer should have deep expertise in Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and F5 technologies. The candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced network security infrastructures. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and highly available network environments while driving continuous improvement in security posture and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the SME for NGFW firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto) and F5 technologies (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM).

  
  

• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot network security infrastructures across multiple environments.

  
  

• Manage and optimize firewall policies, NAT configurations, IPS, URL filtering, and security profiles.

  
  

• Implement and support F5 load balancing, WAF capabilities, and access management modules.

  
  

• Provide operational support, including incident handling, RCA, and performance tuning.

  
  

• Ensure high availability, secure traffic flow, and optimal performance across critical network services.

  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  
  

• Strong hands-on expertise with Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 platforms (LTM/GTM/ASM/APM).

  
  

• Deep understanding of network security architecture and best practices.

  
  

• Experience in security operations, troubleshooting, and traffic/log analysis.

  
  

• Knowledge of routing/switching protocols, segmentation strategies, and cloud security fundamentals.

  
  

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  
  

• Experience working in enterprise environments with strong change and incident management practices.
